OBJECTIVE OF
COMPETITION:-The
objective of the competition was to enlighten the students about the origin of
the festival of Raksha Bandhan and about the various legends associated with it.
The skit competition was conducted
to celebrate the bond of love and affection between brothers and sisters.
DETAIL OF ACTIVITY : - Students of all four houses participated in the
competition. The students showcased the story of Draupadi and Lord Krishna, Alexander
and King Porus, Rani
Karnavati and Emperor Humayun and of Rabindranath
Tagore who promoted the feeling of unity and a commitment among all members of
society through this festival. The students used props, costumes, poetry,
Background music and dances to take us through a journey from ancient times to
the modern times.
OUTCOME OF ACTIVITY :- The students brilliantly performed the skit. Through
their acting skills they succeeded in giving splendid performances. The dances
were like icing on the cake. The students sharpened their acting and dancing
skills through this skit competition. They were successful to acquaint and
elucidate everyone about the origin of Raksha Bandhan and the legends attached
to it.
