REPORT ON CHILDRENS DAY

The students of GG International School celebrated Children’s Day in a form of picnic. The picnic was organized for classes II-VIII to Marathi Tadka in Wagholi by the school on 16 th Nov’2013.  .The students were given a warm welcome on reaching the venue.

They were received traditionally with the sound of drums and vermilion was put on each student’s forehead. The students relished the breakfast of idlis and  lemonade.  Then they were shown the Malkham (acrobat on pole and ropes) . They were amazed and thrilled to watch it. It was followed by a  colourful puppet show. The students had an experience of village life.

They had real life experience of making pots on potter’s wheel with the help of the potter. They also watched the magic show and bought trinkets & key chains as a memento. They enjoyed playing games like shooting a balloon and   aiming with a dart. They went for cart riding and played on swings and slides.

The most sought after item among them was ice candy and getting their names written a grain of rice. Thereafter they saw Lavani dance and tapped on popular Hindi numbers. Finally they were served with sumptuous meal. The trip was highly appreciated and thoroughly enjoyed by all students and staff.
